A very valuable lesson has been learned from this experience. You might wonder if the reply we received was an admission of guilt
Based on the details of our email, you might wonder (like we did) if telling me, "Done" is an confirmation that our accusations were correct. We checked our Paypal account and confirmed the returned funds.
You see, at this website, we run a contest. Each month our subscribers have a chance to get us to purchase a product through their affiliate link and we will report our experience with the product. This month's winner, Antonette J. asked us to try CBProads (Their CB Niche Site). We published a recent article warning others about the problems we encountered. We waited more than a week to finally get a reply to our email which was simply, "Done". No apology, no explanation. No willingness to fix the problem to keep our business. Nothing. Ok, well we received our refund which was we then returned back to our member with an apology from us. Here is the email we sent to the vendor:
"Hello,
I
requested a refund immediately after purchasing and you ignored my
request. My email came from my gmail account at: ********@gmail.com
I will need to report this to Paypal because you just would not help me. Why do I want a refund:
1)
As soon as I clicked on my cb niche sites (purchased for $22), my
Kaspersky internet protection program began to open serious threatening
warning windows about banners being blocked for malware. I closed
firefox and reopened in chrome and internet explorer and the same thing
happened. I had to shut my computer down and restart it to get the
warnings to stop broadcasting in the lower left corner of my screen.
Just to make sure, I
tried to use
my cb niche websites again. Do you have any idea how bad that is? If I
tried
to run a Google ppc ad using that as my landing page, they would have
shut down my account for all the dangerous malware that your webpages
have.
2) I don't like the
product because it has a "contact us" spot. Fine. So, pretending to be a
customer, I signed up and checked my email address for correspondence.
Guess what? The customer would get a friendly email from (God knows
who) someone in your company. In that email is a link to a product or
website. Guess whose hoplink is encoded in the links from the email?
NOT MINE!!. So essentially, I paid $22.00 for niche sites from you and
the only time I make a commission is if the person buys the first time
they visit the site. If they opt-in for more information, not only will I
be building a list FOR YOU, (because that customer's email would not
come to me where I could have them in my auto-responder and send out warm
greetings and sweet thank-you notes etc.). You would end up
sending your own email on autopilot with YOUR AFFILIATE LINKS IN
THEM!!. Great, that is what I paid for huh? Absolutely not.
I
want a refund for my purchase (details are included below for you to
see), or I will pursue this through Paypal and share with them this
information - as well as ripoffreport.com and complaintsboard.com"
(Payment Info left out of this post for privacy purposes)
So let's review the steps to avoid this problem:
- If you are buying products in the affiliate marketing niche, make sure the support is going to be top noch. If they are willing to reply before and during your purchase, they may likely be there for you if you have any problems.
- Make sure that the vendor cannot continue embedding their affiliate links into the pages that you put hard work into marketing as after buying their tools.
- Communicate any problems to the vendor and let them know that you will sing like a canary if they do not help you.
- Don't forget to share your experiences with other whether they are good or bad.
